Don't Cry Over Spilled Milk

I have to tell myself this quite often at the circus. “It’s just milk, no use crying over it or making anyone else cry over it.” This time, the spill was my fault as I dropped the full gallon of milk over myself and my floor… No use crying over it, so I snapped a picture. Future Rock Star?

Last week the kids were having a jam session in the living room with their play guitar and drums. As we looked at my son’s pose, with his tongue out, and his fingers holding the “chords” on the guitar, I couldn’t help but think he had a startling resemblance to KISS (minus the face paint)!

Trick or Treat!!

[] (https://latc.s3.amazonaws.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/img-9181.jpg) Our neighborhood has two days of trick or treating…because one night of filling your pumpkin with candy just isn’t enough. The shopping plaza in our neighborhood hosts a trick or treating event every year the day before Halloween. It feels like a celebration right out of Gilmore Girls as we stroll from store to store getting candy. It’s become a sort of tradition for us to visit Scott’s parents and grandparents after this so they can see them in their costumes.

Stick em up!

I cracked up laughing when they came down the hall like this. Don’t they look like a couple of bank robbers? The best part is that later that week when I went to put this pair of underwear on my son, he told me, “Mom, I can’t wear these, they are my mask!” Check out 5 Minutes for Mom, for more Wordless Wednesdays.

Death of a Scare Crow

My oldest two kids and I decided to commemorate the beautiful fall weather this week, by making our very first scare crow. Because we don’t live on a farm and straw is horribly overpriced in these city parts, we opted to stuff our scare crow girl with leaves. We built her during our baby’s nap time, but she woke just in time to watch us put the finishing touches on her.
